CHILD & YOUTH
MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

Created in January 2024 the Child and Youth Mental Health Program was started as a
gap in care was noted as there were children and youth in our community who do not
have access to a family physician and were struggling.

The program at this time is run by Dr. Hendriks who dedicates time each month for
children and youth in our community. Dr. Hendriks has a keen interest in mental health
and has completed the CanREACH training.

Patients can be referred by any organization as well as by self-referral from parents or

By removing the barriers and adding capacity we are hoping to help close the
attachment gap and therefore positively affect children and youth with the medical
modalities they may require.
