CHRONIC PAIN

As you have probably heard on the News or read in the Newspapers, there is an opioid medication crisis in our Country. In response to this crisis- the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta have implemented new rules and regulations about how your doctor prescribes medications for your pain.

 

In order to meet with these regulations, your family doctor will be completing specific assessments. These assessments must be done so that your family doctor can continue to treat you for your pain. It is also important that you see only your family doctor for refills whenever possible.
