DR. WILLIAM HENDRIKS
Dr. Hendriks was a welder and went back to graduate Medical School from the University of Ottawa in 1988. He has 2 sons - Blair and Brian. Medical interests include: Family Medicine, Mental Health and Continuing Medical Education events. As far as hobbies go, farming seem to be at the top of his list. Dr. Hendriks enjoys living in Wetaskiwin with his wife Alexandra as it is a close knit community.
DR. CHRISTOFF DE WET
Dr. de Wet moved to Wetaskiwin in 2005 and enjoys everything about the community. Medical interests include Orthopedics and Family Medicine. Dr. de Wet enjoys gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family in his spare time.
DR. STIAAN VAN DER WALT
Dr. van der Walt moved to Wetaskiwin in 2010 from South Africa. The University of Stellenbosch is where he graduated in 2007. Medical interests include Internal Medicine. Dr. van der Walt and his wife Clara have been blessed with three children: Sebastian, Elle, and Hudson. Hobbies include playing piano, collecting wine, and working in the garden. The family now resides in Camrose.
DR. LEANDA STASSEN
Dr. Stassen and her husband George moved to Wetaskiwin in 2009 from South Africa. Dr. Stassen graduated from the the University of Limpopo in 2005. Medical interests include Obstetrics and Women’s Health. In her spare time, Dr. Stassen enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons- Liam and Bennett.
DR. BILL LEE
Dr. Lee started at WFMP in April of 2015 after moving from South Africa where he graduated from the University of the Free State in 2009. Dr. Lee enjoys being part of the Wetaskiwin community. In his spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys playing guitar and being with his dog, Doug. A little known fact about Dr. Lee is that he speaks 4 languages: English, Afrikaans, Mandarin (China), and Taiwanese.
DR. GUNTHER SCHLENTHER
Dr. Schlenther started his family practice in Wetaskiwin in 2001 and since that time has felt privileged to work in this community. The aim has always been to try and make timely diagnoses, trying to get the pieces of the puzzle to fit together in a proper manner. Essentially, trying to do this job well is to try to be a private investigator, juggling the pieces of information and trying to get to the right conclusion.
DR. DANIEL VAN DEN BERG
In 2000, Dr. van den Berg came to Wetaskiwin with his wife Marina. He has a keen interest in all areas of family practice and enjoys getting to know his patients. Dr. van den Berg enjoys running, travelling and reading.
DR. HANNES BRAND
Dr. Brand has lived in Wetaskiwin since 1998 with his wife Louize and their sons; Berin and Bennett. Dr. Brand enjoys Family Practice as it is different everyday. When he is not working, Dr. Brand can be found watching rugby, taking photos, or travelling.
DR. TYRONNE BERRY
LMCC, CCFP, MBCHB
Dr. Berry joined WFMP in 2018 from South Africa. Medical interests include: Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Dr. Berry and his wife Lisa enjoy living in Beaumont with their children, Emerick and Layla. In their spare time, the Berry's enjoy all types of physical fitness and activites.
DR. DAVID LUEBBERT
MD, DABFM, LMCC
Dr. Luebbert moved to Alberta in 2019 after training and teaching medicine in Michigan. Originally from Switzerland, Dr. Luebbert grew up in Ontario before studying medicine at St. Matthew’s University where he graduated in 2014. He enjoys taking a multi-faceted approach by incorporating nutrition and exercise to medical care plans. Dr. Luebbert likes staying active through sports, traveling, photography or playing with his dog, Säntis.
